Press F to launch. Without a lock, missiles fly straight; with LOCKED, they pursue that target. Keep the target near your gunsight to lock on.
Airspeed determines your climb ceiling. Too high: the nose drops and the aircraft descends. Crossing the map boundary fails the mission immediately.
Touch: use the flight stick and hold the weapon buttons.
